By holding talks and meetings, Fang and his Australian counterparts reached a consensus in deepening mutual friendship, strengthening academic exchanges, establishing talent cultivation cooperative mechanism, etc. At Westmead Hospital, Fang Qingmin and his delegation received a warm welcome from Ms. Robynne Cooke, Executive Director of Operations and her colleagues. Ms. Joanne Edwards, General Manager at Westmead, briefed the delegation on the management and operation model, the diagnosis and treatment process, cultural construction, performance management and quality control system of Westmead Hospital. Fang Qingmin made a presentation on the history, the diagnosis and treatment level, the characteristic techniques, and international exchange of BMUH. Both parties reached agreement on the establishment of a research base for clinical physicians and nurses at Westmead Hospital.  At Westmead Children’s Hospital, Fang Qingmin met with Professor David Smith, who is in charge of the Sydney Children’s Health Program (SCHP), and Ms. Leanne Howie, head of the International Department. Both parties reviewed the cooperative experience on the subject of International Pediatric Postgraduate Certificate (IPPC), and reached cooperative intentions on enhancing the up-dated SCHP program and developing academic exchanges.
